Although it's been discontinued for several years, we've decided to re-create the Tabby's Jacket, which combines the charms of Strong Hold and Super Payday.
The eye-catching stop-loss pocket. While the original vintage jacket has "Patented" written on the woven label, TCB is a reproduction company, so we've used the more charming "Unpatented."
And the three-button front cuffs can be fastened even with gloves on. These details, born from the jacket's purpose, remain captivating no matter how many times you look at them.
The buttons also pay homage to the face of Strong Hold's Steve, giving the TCB Tora an American comic book-style design. I think the accumulation of these small design details, combined with the Union Special stitching used by TCB, gives it a vintage feel.
About the fabric.
While Catheart and Cathead jeans have a relatively strong blue hue even when new, the new Tabbys starts out darker indigo. As you wear them, you'll enjoy the contrasting fading.The fabric is 10.8oz. The warp is made from Zimbabwe cotton and is rope-dyed with indigo. The color is vibrant and fades beautifully. The weft has a neppy weft, giving the denim a work-style feel.
We make in gray denim this time. The fabric is 10oz. The weft is made from light gray denim rope-dyed with sulfur dyes and has a neppy weft. Like indigo, the color will fade like regular indigo jeans.
I think this is the kind of jacket you could wear to the office, even pairing it with a white shirt and tie.
