I started to do a paper round to buy vintage jeans when I was a junior high student.
What movie was that? but I first saw in a movie that delivery kids in the US just threw a news paper in front of a house and it was kinda shocking to me because my biggest mission back then was to put a news paper in a post so that the papers won't get soaked in the rain even though a ferocious looking dog was sleeping in the yard.
One more shocking thing to me was that the news paper bag looked super cool.
Speaking of TCB products, we don't make anything that we can't make in-house because it's not really our product if we can't make them on our own. When it comes to making a regular bag or back pack, we've stayed away from them because those bags need more advanced machines.
But if you look at this vintage news paper bag that I usually use, you can see the stitches are all done by 3-needle lap sewing machine. I guess a normal bag making factory does not need any lap seam machines so I suppose those news paper company back them must have outsourced the production to a workwear factory. Like when they ordered some uniform for the workers, they must have been like oh we need the bags as well!
It's made of 12oz canvas fabric, both TCB exclusive fabric. I'd say no brand would make this kind of exclusive fabric just for bags because the MOQ for any custom-made fabric is huge. Normally, brands release new items based on the S/S and A/W season and once they are sold out, they are gone for good, in which way it's nearly impossible to make any custom-made fabric. However, TCB is a bit different and we sell our items for 3~5 years since what we make never really fade.
